Kickball anyone?

We have so many people coming in for the weekend, that we've decided to schedule a kickball tournament for Sunday. If you can walk, you can play. And if you can't walk, just find someone willing to carry you and we'll still let you play. If you're interested, drop my sister, Sarah Myers, a line at SarahMyers831@yahoo.com.
And we have a little more information regarding open mic night. We are welcoming anyone who plays an instrument or sings to join for a song or two. You are also welcome to share a funny story, a piece of poetry, a CLEAN joke, a magic trick, or a little jig. We welcome one and all! Just let Philip Weisenhorn know what you'd like to do. You can email Phil at pweisenhorn@charter.net.
Did you remember to RSVP? Please let me know if you're going to be at the party, and how many people you expect to bring with you. In fact, why don't you let me know if you're NOT going to be at the party, too.

How can YOU help?

Wanna help with the party?

We need LETTERS! We want letters from as many of you as possible telling a short story about one way that Jack and/or Rose touched your life. It can be just as short as a paragraph or as long as a novel. It might make us laugh and it might make us cry...or maybe laugh until we cry. They might be favorites that you've retold a hundred times or something personal that you've never said out loud. We want them ALL! We'll choose a few to share during the party, so if you want your note to be kept private, just tell us. We'll put all stories into a binder for Jack and Rose to keep and to read over and over. Please email your stories to David Weisenhorn at DavidWeisenhorn@hotmail.com or snail mail to 268 Rocky Mountain Lane in Boone, NC 28607 OR to Nancy Weisenhorn at fltrn71@yahoo.com or snail mail to 6171 Clayton Street in Fredrick, CO 80530.

We also want PICTURES! Laura Weisenhorn Schonwalder is working on a photographic display to knock your socks off, but only if she gets enough pictures. You can email digital photos (highest resolution available) to Laura at lschonwalder@yahoo.com or snail mail prints to her at 3123 Bivins Road in Durham, NC 27712. If you want your picture returned to you, please put your name and address on the back of the photo.

Philip Weisenhorn is starting a list of MUSICIANS who want to play at the party. Be it a guitar, drum, banjo, fiddle, harmonica, nose flute, or kazoo--bring your instrument and jam with us! Let Philip know you're interested by emailing him at pweisenhorn@charter.net.

That's all for now. We'll update more soon.

10 weeks and counting!

Hello and WELCOME to our blogspot!

As you know, Jack and Rosemarie Weisenhorn are celebrating 50 years of marriage. To commemorate this auspicious occasion, their offspring are throwing a big ol' honkin' party! The official date and time is Saturday, July 2 from 3 until 8 ish. But since we have so many family and friends coming from out of town, we want to be sure we get together as much as possible. This blog will serve as a bulletin board, if you will. We'll update it as we get closer to the date and let you know what activities are planned for each day.
